Trinka AI — Concept Prototype

A prototype I built and pitched to the Trinka AI team — editing for structure and intent, not just grammar. It didn't ship, but the instinct was right.

Note on naming

This project shares its name with Trinka AI, the academic-writing product it was built for. This page describes a concept prototype I proposed to that team — it is not the shipped trinka.ai product, and was never released commercially.

The Challenge

Most writing tools stop at spelling and grammar. Technical and academic writing needed something that understood structure and intent — and nothing on the market was built for that.

The Solution

I designed the editing rules around formal, technical writing specifically, not general prose. And I built the interface for people reviewing dense paragraphs, not quick tweets — because the two need completely different UX.

What Actually Happened

It didn’t ship. That’s the honest ending. But the core idea — edit for structure and intent, not just grammar — was the right one, and it’s the same instinct that shows up in how I think about every writing and thinking tool since.
